We are coordinating our holiday food & gift programs as well as fund raising for our other important projects. We are asking Beltsville businesses, schools, service organizations, social clubs, churches, and individuals to help us provide food and gifts to needy families within our community for the holidays. We will use our funds for other important projects. Those other projects include a Scholarship, the Adopt–A–Road Program, the Beltsville Beautification Project and partnerships with other Beltsville organizations.
There are times during the year when a family has reached out to us in a crisis. We would like to be able to help them as well. We hope you can assist us in these worthwhile endeavors. We provide a Thanksgiving meal (gift card from Aldi’s) for the entire family. At Christmas, we also provide presents for children. We accept new toys and new clothes for children. Monetary contributions & store gift cards are also appreciated. Gift Card suggestions include Target, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Kohl’s, Giant, Aldi’s, Lidl’s, Shopper’s, Visa, MasterCard, Amazon, Walmart or Grocery Outlet. You or your organizations are welcome to sponsor a child or a family. As a certified 501©3 organization, all contributions are tax deductible. Finally, congratulations to our president, Ms. Maren Mayhew, who was recognized as Growing Green with Pride Community Champions by the Office of Community Relations and the Department of Public Works and Transportation. She received a certificate and gift basket from both agencies in appreciation of their unwavering dedication. Maren has been a pillar of the Beltsville community since the 1950s. As the President of the 101-year-old Women's Community Club of Beltsville, she has led initiatives to maintain the community's cleanliness through the Adopt-a-Road program and the more recent Adopt-a-Stream program. The Club takes great pride in planting bulbs in various locations throughout Beltsville, enhancing the community's natural beauty.
