Our Young at Heart club had a terrific trip in August to Penn. We had a wonderful lunch at Hickory Bridge farm and then went to the Totem Pole Playhouse to see “Million Dollar Quartet”. The play was about December 1956 in Nashville when four of the giants in country music played at Sun Radio studios. This included Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis. The show was awesome and I’m so happy that so many of us saw it. Thank you, Shirley Denell, (our trip chairman) for arranging this wonderful trip. She has 2 more trips to come in September and November (a Christmas show).
Our next monthly meeting will be Thursday, September 21 at 10:30 am at the Beltsville Community Center, 3900 Sellman Road. We’ll have entertainment, refreshments, 50/50, trips to sign up for, and small items to purchase at Rosie’s table at low prices.
