By the time you read this, our Dec. 19, 2024, meeting will be over. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves this past year and are looking forward to the new one.
Although many members thought they would be away for the meeting, I’m sure everyone enjoyed the Christmas songs, refreshments, and gift trading.
Our January 19, 2025, meeting will be at the usual time (10:30 am) and usual place (Beltsville Community Center). I hope some new folks will brave the cold and come to hear Johnny Season sing to us. Johnny is a Beltsville “boy” with a great voice and a love for his community. He’s always a joy to listen to. The Refreshments, 50/50 and Ways & Means table will be open, but we have lost our travel coordinator. She’s retiring after 11 years but will still be around for advice to give another volunteer advice and help with setting up trips. No trips will be scheduled in January and February due to the possible bad weather. But Mr. Gunther (and his bus company) usually has great suggestions for us to consider. If you’d like the job, give me a call.
I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
