It is with great joy that St. Joseph parish welcomed Father Shaun Foggo to his new ministry on Wednesday, July 3. Before coming to St. Joseph, Father Foggo, a native of Hyattsville, Maryland, served as the pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows parish in Takoma Park. He received his seminarian formation from Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary, Emmitsburg, Maryland and was ordained by Cardinal Donald Wuerl in 2013. At his first Mass at St. Joseph’s, Fr. Shaun said “As we begin this journey together, let us continue to invite Christ more deeply into all aspects of our lives. God bless you all!”
We also welcome Deacon Pedro Armando Jimenez, is a native of the Dominican Republic. In December 2014, he was ordained and became a deacon of the Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Santiago De Los Caballeros, “Santiago Apostol”. He recently served at Our Lady of Sorrows parish in Takoma Park, MD. He is very excited that a 12:15pm Sunday Mass in Spanish will begin in September.
The parish community looks forward to their pastoral leadership.
