Prince George's Community Federal Credit Union donates new chairs to Beltsville-based theatre group and pledges free show tickets for its credit union members.

Beltsville, MD, August 13, 2024 -- Prince George's Community Federal Credit Union (PGCFCU) is proudly supporting the local arts scene by partnering with UpStage Artists, a burgeoning community theatre group based in Beltsville, Maryland. The credit union is contributing new theatre chairs, providing free show tickets to its members, and supporting the group through program ads.

UpStage Artists, founded in 2019, performs at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Beltsville, just a few miles away from one of the credit union's branches. The theatre group produces four shows annually, including two upcoming productions: "Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs" in August 2024 and "The Mouse Trap" in November 2024.

Rick Bergman, treasurer of UpStage Artists Inc., says, "UpStage Artists is a community theater that puts our community members first. We are excited about this new partnership with Prince George's Community Federal Credit Union."

In its ongoing effort to expand community support, PGCFCU has allocated funds to support several Prince George's County-based nonprofits and organizations. PGCFCU President and CEO Diane Coleman Brown shares, "The opportunity to support UpStage Artists easily rounds out the credit union's desire to support community members with varying interests and talents. As a lover of the arts, I am also excited to attend one of their upcoming productions and hope to see many of our members in attendance as well."

PGCFCU members interested in free show tickets should email marketing@princegeorgescfcu.org or visit www.princegeorgescfcu.org/UpStageArtists2024 for more information.
