“Paws for a Cause: Volunteer with Beltsville Community Cats!”
Beltsville Community Cats (BCC) invites you to our Annual Volunteer Meeting on Saturday, February 8th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Emmanuel United Methodist Church (11416 Cedar Lane, Beltsville). Whether you’re a longtime volunteer, a passionate cat lover, or simply curious about how you can help, this event is a welcoming space to learn, connect, and make a difference for cats in our community.
Who We Are
BCC is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of free-roaming and rescue cats in Beltsville. Through a trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) program, fostering, and colony support, we’ve helped over 650 cats find forever homes and cared for thousands more. Our work is powered by volunteers like you—and there’s a role for everyone!
How You Can Help
Explore our volunteer opportunities:
• TNVR Heroes: Trap, transport, and care for cats needing sterilization and vaccinations.
• Foster Families: Care for rescued kittens and cats, whether for a weekend, short-term, or until adoption. We cover all medical expenses!
• Colony Caretakers: Feed and monitor local colonies of free-roaming cats once or twice a week, ensuring their well-being and safety.
• Behind-the-Scenes Stars: Help with grant writing, fundraising, social media, or content creation—perfect for those who can’t drive or prefer remote volunteering.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering with BCC is more than helping cats—it’s about joining a compassionate, supportive community. Many of our volunteers have formed lasting friendships, found purpose, and even discovered the joys of “kitten therapy.” It’s a rewarding experience that changes lives—yours and theirs.
