James E. Duckworth Regional School is gearing up to celebrate our 31st Annual Challenge Day on May 9th! Challenge Day is a special event, sanctioned by the Special Olympics, where our students have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills, they’ve practiced all year long as we celebrate their personal bests!
We would love to invite the Beltsville community to come and cheer for our athletes and celebrate their work! Opening Ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m., and we will have Spanish interpreters on site. If you are interested in volunteering during the activities that day, please complete the volunteer form at https://bit.ly/challengedayvolunteers25 by April 25, 2025. We could use support with setup and tear-down before and after the event, as well as during the event itself.
If you’re interested in supporting our big day, we have an Amazon Wish List at https://bit.ly/challengeday2025. We would love to have your support in filling it. We are also accepting donations of cases of water, individually packaged snacks, etc. You can call us at (301) 572-0620 if you have any questions.
We look forward to sharing more of our Challenge Day story in the May Newspaper!
