Free Production of It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play From UpStage Artists

Updated: Nov 25

Are you looking for something free to do with your family and friends? Well, come on out to UpStage Artists performance of the Christmas Classic, It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Show on Saturday, December 7 at 7 pm at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 11416 Cedar Land, Beltsville, MD 20705. You will see actors performing several roles in this classic tale as they present the story in the format of a radio play. This is a fun and special story that is great for every member of the family, no matter what their age.

It’s A Wonderful Life is the story of George Bailey, who has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all - and it's Christmas! As the angels discuss George, we see his life in flashback. As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence - who then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn't been for all his good deeds over the years. George learns what a wonderful life truly is.

The members of UpStage Artists always say without community, there is no community theater. They strive to not only create theater that is accessible to all but to give back to the community in which they perform. In that spirit, this performance is a fundraiser for The Emmanuel Food Bank, a local organization that provides free food to all in need. During the performance, a free will offering will take place. You can give as much or as little as you see fit. If you’ve never been to a play before, here’s your opportunity to try one for free.

Come on out, support a good cause, and have a good time! You can learn more about UpStage Artists, Beltsville’s only community theatre, at their website www.upstageartists.com. Remember, UpStage Artists is community theater for everyone!
