Cub Pack 1031 Camps at Watkins Regional Park

On the first weekend in June, the scouts of Cub Pack 1031 camped at Watkins Regional Park. The scouts completed their Whittling Chip while the Arrow scouts completed a new knife skill elective as part of the new updated program. It will feature electives for biking, hiking and camping at each level.

We are now in our summer mode where we will be out and about in the parks and community working on these electives, fundraising and doing fun electives. We will be selling our Papa John’s Fundraising cards again this summer, so let us know if you are interested! We also will be selling the traditional popcorn in the fall. .

We also attended the Baysox Scout Night with our families and had a fun time. The fireworks on Friday night at spectacular!

If you are interested in Cub Scout contact Regina Halper at Pack1031cubscouting@gmail.com  for information. We are a family scouting unit. We learn outdoor skills, citizenship, STEM, nature and do community service. During the school year we  meet at Beltsville Academy for our den meetings and doing service and hiking in the outdoors. In the summer we meet twice a month in the parks.

We have new opportunities for families to apply for financial help. Ask me about it at the Calverton 4th of July celebration and at National Night Out.
