Cub Pack 1031 Blasting into STEM

Updated: Aug 30, 2023

Cub Pack 1031 is having a great summer, biking and hiking and working on STEM projects. Some of our scouts worked to assemble a rocket to launch at NASA Goddard Visitors Center’s Model Rocket Launch on August 7th. They resumed the rocket launch Sundays this summer and the scouts are looking forward to launching them at the event! We are also working on STEM NOVA projects and continuing our summer in the outdoors.

Interested in discovering the fun of Cub Scouts for your child. Come see us at the National Night Out at the park by the Beltsville Library on August 2nd. Please contact Regina Halper at Pack1031cubscouting@gmail.com for information.

We are a family scouting unit. We learn outdoor skills, citizenship, STEM, nature and do service. 100% of our active scouts earned their rank this year! We always strive for over 85% to earn their rank, but this year they did fantastic!!

We are still being cautious, we meet weekly (either virtually or in person in the outdoors), stay arm’s length apart and we keep it fun! This fall we hope to be able to meet in the Beltsville Academy. If the numbers are up, we do wear masks unless we are biking or hiking in family groups. Our den leaders are 100% vaccinated and our scouts too!
