Cub Pack 1031 Arrow of Light Scouts Bridge to ScoutsBSA

Updated: Jul 7

Arrow of Light Scouts help explain the Arrow of Light!

On April 29th, the Arrow den was honored at the Crossover to ScoutsBSA at the fire ring at Beltsville Community Center. David H. and Kyle T. bridged over to ScoutsBSA Troops 1033 and Anya P. bridged over to Troop 214G. These scouts joined in the pandemic and were flexible and creative to work to achieve the highest rank in Cub Scouts despite the Pandemic!

The Arrow of Light and its rays have specific meanings: Wisdom, Courage, Self-Control, Justice, Faith, Hope and Love. Each scout pledges to work to follow these virtues and the Scout Oath and Law to become responsible citizens.

The pack is now moving into our summer mode where we will be out and about in the parks and community hiking, biking, working on STEM activities, fundraising and doing fun electives. Cub Scouts is transitioning to an updated program beginning June 1st and we look forward to new adventures.

If you are interested in Cub Scout contact Regina Halper at Pack1031cubscouting@gmail.com for information. We are a family scouting unit. We learn outdoor skills, citizenship, STEM, nature and do community service. During the school year we meet at Beltsville Academy for our den meetings. We are happy to be meeting in our usual place and learning about engineering, nature, doing service and hiking in the outdoors. In the summer we meet twice a month in the parks.
