High Point Honor Society (NHS) Provides Coats to the Homeless
The National Honor Society of High Point High School was extremely successful in their “Winter Coat Drive for the Homeless.” The school collected fifty winter coats, four sweaters and eight hats to donate to those who could really use some warmth as the winter weather approaches. Yhuy Nguyen, a member of the NHS and coordinator of the coat drive with assistance from the Beltsville Lions Club President, Bob Young, made a special trip down town to NW Washington, DC on December 21st and donated the coats to two organizations, the Bethany Women’s Center and Bread for the City.
