Bound for Germany
Junior Alan St. John of High Point High School has been nominated for a summer stipend to study in West Germany supported by the Federal Government of Germany and the American Association of Teachers of German. St. John received this nomination by scoring at the 90th percentile on the National German Examination taken by students of German throughout the United States. Last year High Point senior, Justin Glotfelty, accepted by M.I.T. for the fall of 1988, was also nominated by his exam achievement and won the sole scholarship in the state of Maryland for the summer study grant to Nuremburg, West Germany.
