There was a house fire on Montgomery Road that occurred on New Year's Day. A woman was killed and three family members were hospitalized after a fire tore through their home.

There was smoke pouring out of the home around noon. 911 was called and the fire department arrived within minutes. Unfortunately, it was too late for one of the family members. A woman was found dead in the basement. Three other people were taken to the hospital. These included an 18-year-old man who is suffering from serious, life-threatening injuries in the ICU, as well as an 8 year old child and a 38-year-old man who have serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The worst of the fire was in the basement level of the home. A GoFundMe Page has been set up to help the family.
