Margaret "Faye" Grubb passed away on November 1, 2018 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul; her children Annette (Joseph) and Sandra; grandchildren Michael (Tracie) and Nicholas; and great grandchildren Scarlett, Roman, Evelyn and Holdyn. She is also survived by two brothers Leon and Melvin, and a host of other family members.
Born and raised in Coeburn, Virginia, Faye was the youngest of 12 children born to Melvin and Nola Odle. As a young adult she moved to Maryland where she lived the remainder of her life.
Faye worked for Arbitron until her retirement. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Beltsville, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She enjoyed volunteering in the nursery where she cared for infants and toddlers while their parents attended church services.
The greatest pleasure of Faye's life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always on the sidelines cheering for her grandsons at their sporting events as they grew up. A cross-country trip with her husband, Paul, was among her favorite memories. A wonderful cook, some of Faye's happiest times were those spent sharing fun and food with her family. She was a kind and generous person, funny and hardworking, and completely devoted to those she loved.
We have so many special memories of our lives with her. Our hearts are broken and we will miss her tremendously. We love you and miss you. Until we meet again.
Memorial service was held at Borgwardt Funeral Home on Thursday, November 8, at 12:30 p.m. with The Reverend Keith Holland officiating.
