William “Bill” Raulin passed away on November 23, 2017 in Silver Spring, MD. He was 85.
Mr. Raulin was born on May 7, 1932 in Washington, DC to his parents, Maude and William Raulin. He married Betty Motley in 1955. Mr. Raulin, fondly known as “Baker Bill” owned and operated Raulin’s Bakery in Beltsville from 1964-1980. His passion for baking inspired his monthly column, “Stuff n’ Things” in the Beltsville News and taught baking classes in the community. He was an active member of choirs at Emmanuel United Methodist Church and Riderwood. He is an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Raulin is survived by his wife, Betty Raulin; his three children, Steve (Kenzie), Wendy, and Jane Kissel (Ken); and four grandchildren, Kate, Molly, Emma, and Ian.
Visitation will be held at Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mr. Raulin will be buried after a private ceremony at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
