RE/MAX REALTY CENTRE HOSTS 12TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISER FOR CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS

OLNEY, Md. Nov. 3, 2017—The Realty Centre team today announced it is hosting its 12th annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Fundraiser on November 9, 2017, at the Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, Maryland. The event and gala will be themed “And the Beat Goes On” and will aim to raise $60,000 to benefit children and families at Children’s National Health System in Washington, D.C., a non-profit hospital that relies on philanthropy to provide world-class care to children in need.

“It’s amazing how many people have been touched by Children’s National’s excellent care, including myself,” said Joe Shaver, co-event chair and agent with RE/MAX Realty Centre. “My daughter was born with Lymphangioma, an affliction requiring significant surgical intervention. Children’s National performed 13 surgeries and played a huge role in my daughter’s development. When I joined RE/MAX and was introduced to the company’s involvement with CMN, I knew this was an excellent way to continue giving back to the hospital that improved my family’s life in such a meaningful way.”

The 12th annual fundraiser will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. and the fee for entry is $60, which includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, full bar, music, dancing and the ability to bid on an array of goods and services.

The event will host three fundraising opportunities for attendees including a silent auction, live auction and sponsorship packages from local businesses. The silent auction will include more than 100 different baskets, including items ranging from cooking tools to gift certificates and much more. Local businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the event will have three packages to choose from, each with varying degrees of recognition. The live auction will boast beautiful vacations to bid on and event giveaways at the end of the evening.

“RE/MAX Realty Centre prides itself on giving back to the community in which we serve,” said Ellen Coleman, co-event chair and agent with RE/MAX Realty Centre. “Throughout the years, we’ve donated $349,730 as part of our Miracle Home Program. Children’s National also treated my son, who was born premature, and I had the opportunity to see the miracles they perform first-hand. It’s an honor and a privilege to now have the opportunity to support and share its mission.”

Last year RE/MAX Realty Centre raised $48,000 at the fundraiser by increasing visibility, boosting sponsorship programs and providing ever-more tantalizing prizes. With 100% of the funds raised going directly to services for children in need at Children’s National, RE/MAX Realty Centre hopes to exceed this amount and provide even more support for the local hospital and its children.

“We truly value the support of the many RE/MAX offices and agents across the region that support Children’s National,” said Sasha Dutton, Assistant Director with Children’s National’s Foundatio

n. “For the past 12 years, RE/MAX Realty Centre has gone above and beyond to help ensure every child receives the best possible care, and we cannot thank them enough for their continued commitment to our hospital and this incredible event.”
