On Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Laurel Regional Hospital, of Beltsville, Maryland;
Survived by longtime companion, Norma Goram; children, Jerry W. (Jolene) Goad Sr., James R. Goad, Anita A. (William) Drish, David M. (Janice) Goad, Sr., Maxine (David) Dowd and Loretta L. (Keith) Brenner; brother of Oscar Earl Goad and Elsie Jean (Chester) Hardisty, the late Annabelle O'Brien and Wilma Dolores Duck; also survived by 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren ; preceded in death by his parents, Wyatt Wakeman Goad and Glenna M. (nee Barnes) Goad. Funeral service was held at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road Beltsville, Maryland on Saturday, September 9, at 12 noon with Prince George's County Fire Department Chaplain Harry Hetz officiating; Interment Ivy Hill Cemetery, Laurel, Maryland.
